Perception Engineer – ML/CV and Algorithms

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$182,000 annual base pay, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research and develop efficient end-to-end machine learning solutions for autonomous vehicle perception.
• Build sensor-fusion capabilities for obstacle detection, 3D location, motion properties, and fine-grained attributes.
• Develop drivable-space and 3D occupancy understanding.
• Implement map-sensing features such as lane-boundary and topology detection.
• Develop scene-understanding algorithms for traffic lights, vehicle intent, and construction zones.
• Build robust onboard systems and efficient offboard loops for rapid iteration on long-tail scenarios.

Requirements

• Strong abilities in algorithms and C++ coding, or strong expertise in computer vision, machine learning, or model optimization.
• Solid problem-solving, algorithmic, and data-analysis skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivation and interest in autonomous driving.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++ development, multithreading, memory management, and computing optimization.
• Experience with multi-sensor fusion and 2D/3D tracking.
• Publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
