AI Engineer (Computer Vision/Signal Processing)

Base pay: $136,300–$231,700 annually

What you will do

• Design, train, and deploy deep learning models for image translation, segmentation, anomaly detection, and defect analysis.
• Formulate inspection challenges as mathematical problems and develop customized models and algorithmic solutions.
• Curate datasets and establish training, validation, and evaluation pipelines.
• Improve model accuracy and optimize inference throughput using GPU acceleration and high-performance computing.
• Deliver maintainable, production-quality code and identify technical bottlenecks through data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, field teams, and customers to integrate and deploy AI solutions, including occasional international travel.

Requirements

• Relevant publications must be listed on the resume.
• PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; new graduates are welcome, with preference for 1–2 years of experience.
• Significant experience with deep learning for computer vision and image understanding.
• Knowledge of physics-based modeling or signal processing.
• Proficiency with Python and modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with C++ production software development and object-oriented programming.

Nice to have

• Experience with scientific computing, numerical optimization, or computational geometry.
• Knowledge of electron-beam or optical imaging-system modeling.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and process control.
