Senior Perception Engineer (AI)

Location: Full-time onsite at the Irving, Texas office, United States; domestic relocation assistance is available. Up to 10% travel required.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year

What you will do

• Develop perception software and algorithms for autonomous and operator-assisted driving systems on mobile off-road machines.
• Design, implement, optimize, and test sensor fusion, object detection, tracking, and classification algorithms.
• Integrate perception solutions into software stacks and hardware platforms with engineering and research teams.
• Analyze customer, machine, sensor, and performance data to identify gaps and improve machine intelligence.
• Document architectures, software designs, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
• Debug, validate, and maintain perception software throughout the Agile development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Excellent C++ and fluent Python programming skills.
• Experience with computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, sensor fusion, object detection, tracking, and classification.
• Strong software engineering, debugging, validation, and code quality practices.
• Experience developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or operator-assistance systems using lidar, radar, and camera sensors.
• Experience developing, integrating, or validating complex autonomous systems with a focus on machine safety and productivity.
• Ability to work full-time at the Irving, Texas office; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS/AIS, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Git, CMake, Docker, and GoogleTest.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Experience using AWS EC2, S3, or Batch for data processing and model development.
