Software Engineer In Test (SEIT) - Data Team

What you will do

• Review technical specifications, code, requirements, and acceptance criteria with a focus on testability and clean code.
• Decompose user stories and automate tests across business logic, API and contract, end-to-end journey, accessibility, visual, and performance layers.
• Build, maintain, execute, and improve automated testing for data pipelines and full solution stacks.
• Debug test failures with development and operations teams and monitor post-release metrics for escaped defects.
• Analyze legacy code, coach engineers on maintainability, and recommend improved testing methodologies.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering in test.
• Strong knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing, including BigQuery, Redshift, or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one automation language: Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with automated test frameworks for business logic, API/contract, and end-to-end journey testing.
• Knowledge of schema validation, data lineage tracing, statistical drift detection, CI/CD, version control, clean code, and distributed-system debugging.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataflow, or Cloud Composer.
• Experience with performance, accessibility, or visual regression testing tools.
• Background in fintech, lending, or regulated data environments.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted testing or data-masking and replay regression pipelines.
