Director, Data Engineering (Palantir)

Location: US — Work from Home; willingness to travel up to 30% during peak periods is required.

Salary: $185,709–$272,373.20 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Grow and lead the Palantir practice across business development, talent management, delivery, and operational excellence.
• Define the practice vision, partnership roadmap, reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and client case studies.
• Lead forward-deployed delivery pods and oversee engagements from technical design through production go-live.
• Guide ontology, pipeline, and application design on Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and AIP for complex client challenges.
• Manage engagement risk, budgeting, account economics, client satisfaction, governance, and portfolio quality.
• Support pre-sales, strategic pursuits, executive relationships, thought leadership, and collaboration with Palantir and internal teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of leadership experience and 10+ years in consulting or professional services.
• Experience managing a business line and P&L, including launching or scaling a practice or platform-centric service line.
• Demonstrated delivery experience with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and/or AIP, including ontology design, pipeline development, application development, and operational deployment.
• Experience with embedded, pod-based delivery and managing senior Forward Deployed Engineers, Forward Deployed Strategists, and Software Engineers.
• Experience leading transformation engagements involving change management, organizational design, process mapping, and platform implementation.
• Strong executive communication, financial management, client advisory, strategic pursuit, and partner ecosystem skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with government, defense, or regulated commercial clients.
• Experience building or scaling a practice around Palantir or a comparable strategic software platform partnership.
• Experience with other enterprise data or AI platforms.
