Senior Vice President, Data Operations (AI)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid in-office three days per week, with remote work permitted up to two days per week.

Salary: $315,000–$375,000 annually, plus potential bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.

hirify.global is a large digital media company operating a portfolio of brands and using multi-petabyte data infrastructure to support content, audience, advertising, and revenue initiatives.

What you will do

• Define and execute a multi-year enterprise data platform strategy aligned with content, audience, advertising, and product goals.
• Architect and oversee petabyte-scale batch and real-time data ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving infrastructure.
• Lead data warehouse and lakehouse evolution, streaming architecture, platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Establish data governance, ownership, lineage, cataloging, quality SLAs, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
• Build and lead Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Analytics Engineering organizations.
• Enable generative AI and ML applications through model training pipelines, embedding stores, experiment tracking, and advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data platform architecture, or analytics infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and scaling petabyte-level data platforms in a high-traffic, data-intensive industry.
• Deep expertise in data lakes and lakehouses, cloud data warehouses, stream processing, orchestration, cloud platforms, distributed systems, data governance, metadata management, and data quality.
• Strong strategic planning, architectural decision-making, communication, and executive presence.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or PhD.
• Experience in digital media, content platforms, advertising technology, e-commerce, fintech, or similar industries.
