Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, Boston, or New York

Salary: $170,000–$250,000 OTE per year, consisting of base and variable compensation

What you will do

• Embed with customers to understand their business processes, systems, and data.
• Engineer data pipelines, workflows, and automations that make AI useful and valuable.
• Deliver measurable, scalable, and repeatable AI-powered outcomes.
• Act as a trusted technical partner, bridging real-world complexity and AI systems.
• Build the playbook for Forward Deployment Engineering at hirify.global.
• Collaborate across data engineering, systems design, AI deployment, and commercial operations.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in consulting, data engineering, software engineering, or similar technical roles.
• Strong foundation in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong foundation in agentic systems and experience using AI tools to accelerate delivery.
• Comfort working directly with customers, operating in ambiguous environments, traveling to customer sites, and learning quickly.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or workflow automation.
