Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 base salary per year plus meaningful equity

What you will do

• Deploy AI agents for banks, fintechs, and payments companies in regulated enterprise environments.
• Travel onsite to resolve connectivity issues and integrate with core banking systems in production.
• Translate compliance, AML, BSA, and risk workflows into effective agent behavior.
• Build connectors, configuration tools, and internal frameworks that make customer solutions reusable.
• Guide customers from demonstrations through go-live as a technical advisor.
• Diagnose deployment issues and convert recurring customer needs into product improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong backend or data engineering background.
• Experience with Python, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Actively building with LLMs and modern AI systems is required.
• Excellent communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain AI systems to non-technical stakeholders and work with enterprise customers.

Nice to have

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical implementation specialist.
