QA Automation Engineer

Location: Westlake, Texas; onsite or hybrid from day one. The posting also lists New York as a location.

Salary: $60,786–$65,916 annual base compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test strategies, plans, and cases for enterprise web applications and APIs.
• Ensure functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Develop and expand Java-based Selenium Serenity automation frameworks.
• Perform manual and automated testing, analyze results, and manage defect reporting through resolution.
• Support deployment validation, production releases, and post-release verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of quality engineering experience with complex enterprise applications and APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium Serenity Automation Framework and Java.
• Experience creating test strategies, test plans, and execution methodologies.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, coding standards, code reviews, source control, and build processes.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, CI/CD practices, and Agile/Scrum development.

Nice to have

• Playwright automation experience.
• BDD methodologies and Gherkin syntax.
• AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience validating enterprise APIs and distributed systems.
