Senior Software Test Engineer

Location: On-site at the Arlington, Virginia headquarters 4–5 days per week

Salary: $96,700–$140,000 USD annualized

What you will do

• Develop and execute manual functional, user-acceptance, end-to-end, regression, and performance tests.
• Evaluate custom web applications, distributed architectures, and interoperable data streams as a unified ecosystem.
• Help implement automated testing frameworks to scale manual testing practices.
• Design testing strategies for the quality, robustness, and integrity of AI-assisted code development.
• Document defects and feature requests, reproduce issues, and collaborate with developers on resolutions.
• Coordinate testing processes with engineering, development, field operations, and program timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience, including exposure to web automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• 3+ years of backend API testing, integration testing, and functional testing experience.
• Understanding of networking, distributed systems, cross-network data flows, and complex data-heavy systems.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, SQL, and relational or non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows and methods for verifying code integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable professional experience; eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Nice to have

• Military cyber or networking experience and familiarity with military, cyber, and networking terminology.
• Experience with Docker, vSphere, Ansible, AWS, Agile development, or test and configuration scripting in Bash, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience creating automated tests for geospatial libraries such as OpenLayers and CesiumJS.
