Consulting Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (Storage)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; remote designation indicated

Annual base salary: $171,500–$257,600 USD, with possible incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for strategic service provider accounts and support large deals through closure.
• Develop account strategies connecting storage solutions to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with sales, leadership, support, engineering, customer success, marketing, strategy, and channel partners.
• Deliver presentations, solution demonstrations, and Executive Briefing Center sessions.
• Capture business and technical requirements, author RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, and design innovative solutions.
• Lead interoperability and performance validation, roadmap exchanges, complex proofs of concept, and TCO calculations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Previous pre-sales experience and experience targeting prospects and converting them into clients.
• Expertise in enterprise storage architectures, including NVMe/NVMe-oF, Fibre Channel, Ethernet/IP, block, file, object, scale-out, software-defined, and disaggregated storage.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, containers, Linux, NFS, and distributed networking.
• Experience with distributed computing, multiprocessing, shared memory, cache architectures, and storage-intensive applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, SQL or Oracle, 5G, telco cloud, NFV, CNFs, VMware, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with network telemetry, observability data, analytics, or AI data pipelines.
• Knowledge of public-sector and regulated workloads, security, and compliance requirements.
