Sr Specialist, Patient Access

Location: Onsite at Ardent - Hillcrest Cushing in Cushing, Oklahoma, United States

Salary: $18.65–$19.90 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Perform patient admitting, registration, demographic and insurance information collection, and physician order processing.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, select insurance plan codes, and support clean claims and pre-registration.
• Complete medical necessity and compliance checks, including ABN screening and distribution of required forms.
• Collect point-of-service payments, explain payment plans, and audit accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop training materials, train new hires, provide continuing education, and create department schedules.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support, including coverage for staffing needs.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of revenue cycle processes, including admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes, authorizations, benefits verification, and health insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, or procedure codes.
• Ability to work onsite in Cushing, Oklahoma.
