Insurance Authorization Specialist (Medical Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote - Nationwide; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs require.

Salary: $17.00–$18.65 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Select accurate clinical and medical records to support patient safety and authorization requests.
• Submit authorization requests to insurance companies according to plan requirements.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and physician offices to secure service approvals and payment.
• Act as the liaison between ordering physicians and insurers, identifying and communicating missing requirements.
• Apply organizational policies and processes to insurance authorization activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of insurance authorization experience.
• Knowledge of medical coding, billing systems, documentation, and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze information, use independent judgment, and manage confidential data.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work remotely nationwide and travel to onsite locations when business needs require.
