CNC Support Technician

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite machine shop and manufacturing environment

hirify.global is a defense startup developing an autonomous gun turret that uses computer vision and control systems to target small drones and loitering munitions.

What you will do

• Maintain cleanliness and organization across the machine shop, including floors, benches, and machines.
• Prepare CNC machines through warm-ups, coolant checks, and chip removal.
• Assemble workbenches, industrial racking, and basic shop furniture.
• Perform light mechanical repairs and learn to troubleshoot shop equipment under supervision.
• Organize tools, drill bits, hardware, and other shop inventory.
• Receive materials, move components, and maintain maintenance and safety logs.

Requirements

• Strong interest in learning CNC machining and defense technology.
• Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools, with practical mechanical aptitude.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to take ownership of shop needs.
• Clear verbal communication and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Ability to perform hands-on work in a machine shop and manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Trade school, shop class, or hobbyist mechanical experience.
