Senior Software Engineer, Front-End (React)

Location: McLean, Virginia; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite. Candidates must reside in the U.S. and hold U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card.

Annual base salary: $135,000–$210,000 USD.

What you will do

• Develop, scale, and maintain the Digital Experience Analytics reporting portal.
• Lead the migration from the legacy Backbone framework to the modern Alchemy-based React architecture.
• Design reusable frontend architectures, state management systems, and client-side algorithms.
• Architect and manage Node-based microservices supporting the portal.
• Align frontend architecture, data handling, network calls, and authentication flows with FedRAMP and federal security standards.
• Own projects from concept through deployment while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product and design teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining complex, high-performance web applications in production.
• 3+ years of hands-on React experience.
• Professional experience with TypeScript, ES6+, semantic HTML5, and modern CSS methodologies.
• Experience with unit and integration testing using tools such as Jest or React Testing Library, including mocking and automated pipelines.
• Experience designing modular frontend architectures, applying software design patterns, documenting technical designs, and presenting technical concepts.
• Must reside in the U.S. and hold U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card to meet AWS GovCloud compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, or other regulated compliance frameworks.
• Experience migrating large legacy codebases such as BackboneJS or AngularJS to React.
• Backend familiarity with Node and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure session management, CSP, and dependency scanning.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
