Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Automotive)

Location: Fremont, California, United States. Hybrid schedule requiring 1–3 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and occasional business travel.

Initial California base salary range: $154,000–$187,000 annually. The full-time position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Ship internal web applications supporting commercial operations and enterprise workflows.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, reliable, and performant front-end systems.
• Build shared UI components, design-system patterns, and accessible interfaces.
• Integrate applications with back-end services and identity systems such as SSO.
• Establish front-end standards for testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Own operational readiness for front-end applications and libraries while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience focused on front-end web technologies.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript or TypeScript and a major framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Strong HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility, and front-end architecture skills.
• Experience integrating REST, gRPC, or GraphQL APIs and collaborating with back-end engineers.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end front-end testing.
