Frontend Engineer (React/Electron)

Location: New York City, NY; on-site, 5 days in the office

Salary: $180,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and scale high-quality features for a platform serving more than 100 million users.
• Develop and iterate primarily in React within an Electron application.
• Create new experiences for creators and the next generation of gamers.
• Work directly with leadership and the gaming community to ship features regularly.
• Own end-to-end quality and performance for complex features.
• Measure feature results using A/B testing, usage metrics, and production profiling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Professional experience with React, Redux, Node, Electron, and modern JavaScript practices.
• Strong understanding of code performance and confidence using profiling tools.
• Ability to take ownership, work with metrics, move quickly, and ship regularly.
• Passion for games and gaming communities, including experience with Discord or similar products.
• Must work in person in New York City, 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience with Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience working on gaming-related projects.
