Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: New York, NY; on-site. U.S. citizenship is required; no active security clearance is required.

Base salary: $192,000–$281,000 per year. Estimated total compensation: $281,000–$455,000, including target bonus and estimated equity value.

What you will do

• Architect and build high-performance React and TypeScript applications for operator workflows.
• Design real-time interfaces and interactive visualizations for complex cyber operation data, including graphs, timelines, and streaming views.
• Lead frontend architecture, reusable patterns, component libraries, testing strategy, and engineering standards.
• Optimize frontend performance, investigate production issues, and improve system reliability across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Coordinate delivery with product, design, backend, and operations stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, feedback, technical coaching, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional frontend software development experience.
• Deep production experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience leading frontend technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with performance optimization, automated testing, state management, Git, code review, and CI integration.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to deliver accessible, maintainable, and reliable user experiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex data visualization using D3, Chart.js, or similar tools.
• Experience with graph databases and graph query patterns, such as Neo4j.
• Experience with real-time streaming data and visualization of live systems.
• Background in defense, cybersecurity, or other mission-critical domains.
• Experience surfacing AI/ML outputs in operational workflows or developing component libraries and design systems.
