Staff I Software Engineer (SAP)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office for candidates within reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: PLN 336,000–420,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build and integrate SAP solutions with the hirify.global Cloud, focusing on SAP finance and internal trade processes.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, optimize, scale, release, and maintain SAP ABAP applications.
• Research evolving SAP stacks, including ABAP for Cloud, and influence product direction.
• Translate product and customer needs into functional and technical requirements, estimates, specifications, and delivery plans.
• Act as a primary technical contact, collaborate across product and engineering teams, and support customers when needed.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, support agile ceremonies, and help maintain engineering quality standards.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience with SAP ABAP programming and planning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA 2022+ and ECC 6.0, including SAP Finance processes such as journal postings.
• Advanced ABAP object-oriented programming knowledge, including MVC, SOLID principles, design patterns, CDS views, and extensibility.
• Experience with ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse, HANA Query Analyzer, classic enhancements, SAP web services, and SAP Clean Core standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-support skills, including willingness to provide off-hours support when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP BTP ABAP Environment, RAP, behavior definitions, and service definitions.
• Experience with automated testing using C# and Selenium.
• Knowledge of ABAP for FI, transaction clearing, special ledger postings, and contract accounting postings.
• Experience with Fiori UI development.
