What you will do
- Lead daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and month-end routines.
- Manage supplier processes from onboarding through payment runs and query resolution.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain accurate ledgers, financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation.
- Monitor spending, identify variances, and work with budget owners to maintain financial discipline.
- Improve and automate invoicing, supplier management, reconciliations, and other scalable financial processes.
Requirements
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, with the ambition to complete the qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and VAT rules.
- Hands-on experience with invoicing cycles, AP/AR processes, reconciliations, and month-end tasks.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite, plus strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience managing supplier onboarding, purchase orders, payment runs, and financial queries.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders, and maintain robust auditable processes in multi-entity or international organisations.
Nice to have
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data modelling.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation or systems migration in scaling multi-entity environments.
- German language skills for supplier communication and coordination with Germany-based accountants.
