Segment Producer, CNBC

What you will do

• Develop and produce live and taped guest segments for CNBC International.
• Generate original content ideas and research stories from a broad range of sources.
• Identify, book, and pre-interview compelling guests while arranging live hits.
• Write copy and teases, and secure sound bites and video elements to support segments.
• Help visualize and produce show segments, franchises, and other creative editorial ideas.
• Work with Executive Producers, other producers, CNBC Operations, and Line Producers to deliver the program.

Requirements

• Exemplary editorial judgment and strong knowledge of business and financial markets.
• Ability to work independently, creatively, and effectively under daily deadline pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong sense of visual storytelling.
• Willingness to work a demanding production schedule, including weekends and some holidays when required.
• Experience booking and segment producing in a live television environment is desirable, with 3 or more years preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CNBC News standards.
• Prior experience at a financial news network.
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
