Multimedia Producer (3D Animation)

What you will do

• Produce and edit short-form and vertical videos for FT.com, YouTube, and social media.
• Create visual-led explainers on important global topics with the Explainers Editor, reporters, designers, and video teams.
• Design and animate clean, modern motion graphics, including 3D animation, to bring data and stories to life.
• Shape scripts, visuals, editorial angles, and platform-specific approaches with journalists and producers.
• Pitch creative ideas, experiment with new tools and formats, and follow online video trends.
• Maintain high production standards while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating video production, editing, and motion graphics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects, Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to craft visual narratives and apply sound editorial judgment.
• Knowledge of social-first video formats, trends, design principles, layout, and typography.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects under pressure and work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work onsite in London at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with newsrooms or journalistic content.
• Ability to transform datasets between multiple platforms and systems.
• Understanding of cartography principles.
