Technical Writer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Create standards-compliant technical documentation in English, including operating, user, assembly, repair, maintenance, software, and system documentation.
• Create, maintain, and develop modular XML content in Quanos Schema ST4.
• Develop information architectures, documentation structures, and concepts for robotics products and software content.
• Improve documentation processes for digital product passports, the Cyber Resilience Act, regulatory change, and digital information delivery.
• Manage terminology, create translation-friendly content, and support translation and localization.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, software development, service, and quality teams, including support for risk assessments.

Requirements

• Training as a Technical Writer or a comparable qualification, or a technical degree focused on technical communication or documentation.
• At least three years of professional experience in technical documentation or technical communication.
• Excellent English writing skills and the ability to explain complex technical information clearly; English is the main documentation language.
• Experience with content management systems, preferably Quanos Schema ST4, XML-based modular documentation, terminology, and translation-friendly content.
• Knowledge of machinery regulations, ISO standards, VDI guidelines, and related documentation requirements.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented working style with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Good German skills.
• Experience in robotics, mechatronics, automation, or machinery environments.
• Experience with or strong interest in AI-supported technical writing, content review, terminology consistency, and process improvement.
