Robotics Software Engineer - Grasping (Robotics)

Location: Munich, Germany

Base salary: €128,000–€131,200 per year, plus a 15% bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, efficient, production-ready algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation.
• Develop software abstractions that simplify complex robotic manipulation and manufacturing workflows.
• Apply advances in robotics to practical industrial problems and manufacturing tasks.
• Translate partner requirements into reliable, functional technical solutions.
• Integrate and validate robotics solutions with roboticists and application engineers.
• Improve the robotics software framework and contribute to reliable robotics products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in robotic manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of linear algebra, spatial transformations, and rigid body dynamics.
• Direct experience testing and iterating on physical robots.
• 3 years of professional robotics software programming experience in C++ and Python.
• Track record of shipping production-quality code.

Nice to have

• PhD in Robotics and Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or a related field focused on robotic manipulation.
• Deep expertise with JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience developing the full robotics stack, including kinematics, motion generation, system integration, and testing.
