Sr. Design Engineer (Centrifugal Compressors)

What you will do

• Design and develop centrifugal compressor structures for regionalization and new product development programs.
• Perform stress, vibration, and thermal deformation analysis to assess and mitigate design risks.
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Lead component development, verification, technical issue resolution, and product lifecycle improvements.
• Lead technical reviews and release bills of materials, part drawings, and engineering specifications through the engineering change process.
• Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams on product regionalization and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 8 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5 years with a master’s degree, in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal compressor structures, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools, GD&T, digital simulation tools, and FMEA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, cost-awareness, and engineering capabilities.
• Effective communication skills in English are required.
