Harness Technician II/III - A Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite A shift position

Hourly pay range: $25–$40 USD

What you will do

• Build and test electrical wire harnesses for Space Systems projects.
• Perform soldering, crimping, splicing, stripping, continuity testing, and hi-pot testing.
• Follow manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings while identifying abnormalities.
• Recommend continuous improvements and actively contribute to 5S activities.
• Complete special projects and scheduled jobs while managing changing priorities.
• Work with precision tools and equipment in production, equipment, and field environments.

Requirements

• For Level II: 2+ years of electrical harness assembly and testing experience to an aerospace or equivalent high-reliability standard.
• For Level III: 5+ years of electrical harness assembly and testing experience to an aerospace or equivalent high-reliability standard.
• High school diploma or GED, or qualifying applicable electrical/testing experience in lieu of the diploma.
• Experience assembling products according to manufacturing instructions and drawings.
• For U.S. office roles, must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, qualifying refugee/asylee, or eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, work at heights and in tight spaces, perform repetitive motions, and lift or move up to 25 lb.

Nice to have

• Experience inspecting wiring assemblies against customer workmanship standards.
• Experience with automatic wire strippers, hi-pot testers, multimeters, automatic wire cutters, and bakeout ovens.
• Knowledge of MES and QMS systems.
• IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
