TL;DR

Focus on reconciling temporary-import inventories, coordinating customs clearance, supporting audits, and mitigating trade-compliance risks.

Location: Hybrid in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico

What you will do

  • Manage IMMEX compliance, including Annex 24 inventory controls, monthly reconciliations, Annex 31 reporting, and customs records.
  • Coordinate import and export operations across ocean, air, and ground transportation.
  • Prepare, validate, monitor, and close Pedimentos while facilitating timely customs clearance.
  • Maintain customs documentation, permits, regulatory filings, HS classifications, and non-tariff compliance records.
  • Support customs audits, inquiries, penalties, claims, and risk-mitigation activities.
  • Develop SOPs, train stakeholders, support compliance systems, and report operational KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or IMMEX administration.
  • Strong knowledge of IMMEX regulations, Annex 24, Annex 31, VAT Certification requirements, and Pedimento processes.
  • Fluent Spanish and conversational English at B2/C1 level required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IMMEX compliance and international trade operations.
  • Customs broker certification or related trade-compliance credentials.
  • Experience with bonded warehouses, duty-saving strategies, and customs-compliance software.
