Import/Export Specialist (IMMEX)

Location: Hybrid in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico

What you will do

• Manage Annex 24 inventory controls, monthly reconciliations, Annex 31 reporting, customs records, and IMMEX compliance controls.
• Coordinate import and export activities across ocean, air, and ground transportation, including shipment tracking and customs clearance.
• Prepare, validate, monitor, and close Pedimentos while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper payment.
• Prepare customs documentation, permits, regulatory filings, HS classifications, and non-tariff compliance records.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, consultants, logistics, plant operations, tax, and compliance stakeholders.
• Support audits, risk mitigation, claims investigations, SOP development, training, KPI monitoring, and compliance reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or IMMEX administration.
• Strong knowledge of IMMEX regulations, Annex 24, Annex 31, VAT Certification requirements, and Pedimento processes.
• Fluent Spanish and conversational English at B2/C1 level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IMMEX compliance and international trade operations.
• Customs broker certification or related trade compliance credentials.
• Experience with bonded warehouses, duty savings strategies, and customs compliance software.
