Senior Platforms Engineer - HIL (AU)

What you will do

• Design and implement internal infrastructure and automated tooling for CI/CD, observability, and software and FPGA build pipelines.
• Improve continuous integration across inner-loop and outer-loop development workflows.
• Design, build, and improve continuous deployment pipelines for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
• Manage and extend observability and runner infrastructure for specialised Hardware-in-the-Loop test systems.
• Integrate automated feedback for code quality, security, testing, and documentation.
• Own the embedded platform automation lifecycle and delivery processes while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, IT, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of experience designing, maintaining, and building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD or comparable tools.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Linux, including embedded Linux environments.
• Experience operating observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with Python or Bash scripting and the ability to lead complex technical projects independently.
• Clear communication skills and experience mentoring and supporting engineers.

Nice to have

• Backend programming experience with Go, Rust, C++, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, OCI, or other containerisation tools.
• Experience with Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot.
