Senior Quality Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the mobile test strategy and pragmatic test pyramid for React Native.
• Build and maintain mobile E2E automation in Maestro, including test data, device configuration, helpers, reporting, and CI integration.
• Improve test reliability by reducing flakiness, runtime, and time to diagnosis.
• Use AI tools for test authoring, failure clustering, coverage analysis, and fix proposals with appropriate review controls.
• Partner with product and engineering on shift-left quality, acceptance criteria, exploratory testing, and production issue analysis.
• Connect test coverage to customer impact using Datadog, Sentry, and Grafana.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted testing practices with controls for review and trust.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills, including building helpers and test tooling.
• Experience shaping CI/CD pipelines for test reliability, including flakiness reduction, parallelization, artifact management, and runtime control.
• Comfort with mobile E2E automation, or strong E2E experience on another platform and a credible plan to become productive on mobile.
• Ability to work independently and drive improvements across frameworks, CI, test data, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Maestro or Detox.
• Experience testing React Native applications.
• Mobile performance and reliability experience, including crash reporting, startup time, memory, and battery awareness.
• API and contract testing experience, including test data and environment strategy.
