Revenue Recovery Associate Analyst I

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs require.

Salary: $49,800–$74,700 annually, based on experience and other factors.

What you will do

• Analyze contractual reimbursement, remittance data, posted payments, and expected reimbursement to identify underpayments and revenue opportunities.
• Communicate with payors, follow up on outstanding underpayments, file appeals, and resolve account variances.
• Identify root causes of underpayments, denials, and delayed payments, and work with client teams to address revenue-cycle issues.
• Document activities and findings in client host systems, hirify.global IQ, and other tracking systems.
• Compile reports on underpayment trends and communicate recommendations and issues to leadership.
• Collaborate with Managed Care, Billing, Coding, Revenue Integrity, and Payor Strategy teams while managing multiple KPI-driven tasks.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in the hospital or physician insurance industry or another revenue-cycle environment.
• Proven understanding of revenue-cycle operations and underpaid-account identification.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, problem-solving, critical-thinking, integrity, and initiative.
• Ability to adapt to multiple client host systems and use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations when business needs require.
