Accounting Manager, Lease & Fixed Assets

Location: Hybrid, with in-office work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Redwood City, California headquarters. Candidates must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Bay Area HQ.

Targeted base salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, with possible additional bonus, equity, or commissions.

What you will do

• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and monthly close schedules.
• Apply ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 360 fixed asset accounting across the lease portfolio and fixed asset register.
• Reconcile lease and fixed asset records with the general ledger, LeaseQuery, NetAsset, and Fleetio systems.
• Support bus financing transactions, including deal structuring, debt and lease classification, and financial statement impact.
• Lead consolidated financial reporting, intercompany eliminations, external audits, and reporting initiatives across subsidiaries.
• Drive process improvements, support SOX controls and internal audit, and mentor accounting staff.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management, review, or mentoring of junior staff.
• Proficiency in ASC 842, ASC 360, GAAP, fixed assets, lease accounting, and consolidated financial statements.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and eliminations.
• Experience with SOX internal controls, external audits, advanced Excel, and large data sets.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA is strongly preferred; NetSuite and lease or fixed asset automation experience are preferred.
