Engineering Program Management Lead (Quantum Computing)

Location: Hybrid, Malta, New York, United States. The role is performed at a supplier site, requires up to 25% travel, and is restricted to eligible U.S. Persons. Candidates must not be nationals of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.

Salary: $164,000–$205,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead schedules, budgets, resource planning, and work plans for technical deliverables across complex hardware R&D programs.
• Coordinate multiple technical and operational teams.
• Run status meetings, project reviews, and end-of-task retrospectives.
• Communicate strategy, scope changes, risks, and progress through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate schedules and develop required technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 8 years of technical program management experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be Chinese or Russian nationals unless also U.S. citizens.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Background in quantum computing, optics and photonics, or experimental physics.
• PMP certification and experience in product development.
• Experience managing technology projects through their full life cycle, including schedule, risk, and budget management.
• Experience with first-of-a-kind or early-stage technology projects and risk and opportunity analysis.
