Senior Staff Technical Program Manager - Quantum Sensing

Location: Onsite at the office in Pleasanton, California, United States. Up to 25% domestic travel is required. U.S. Person status or applicable export-control authorization is required for access to restricted technology and government-contract work.

Salary: $187,944–$269,503 USD base compensation annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead complex quantum programs across technology maturation, R&D, NPI, production, customer delivery, sustainment, and end-of-life transition.
• Build and own integrated master schedules and execution plans aligning engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Drive new product and technology introductions from prototype through production readiness and scalable handoff.
• Manage labor and non-labor forecasts, variance analysis, revenue inputs, and estimate-at-completion financials.
• Govern technical, operational, supply chain, and cross-functional risks and dependencies.
• Present program health, dashboards, recommendations, and technical updates to executives, customers, and federal or commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading integrated hardware and software programs from R&D and prototyping through NPI, high-volume production, and customer deployment.
• Experience with programmatic financial management, EAC, labor and non-labor forecasting, variance management, and revenue inputs.
• Direct experience with Earned Value Management and serving as a Control Account Manager or equivalent.
• Ability to synchronize engineering, supply chain, finance, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams while influencing executives.
• U.S. Person status or appropriate export-control authorization is required for relevant technology and government-contract work.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.
• Experience in quantum computing, aerospace, defense, semiconductors, optical communications, or secure communications.
• Federal, DoD, DOE, or national laboratory program experience.
• PMP, PgMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, SAP or Oracle, Tableau, or PowerBI.
