Shift Manager, Module Engineering (Clean Tech)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; based in the GF Malaysia office with 12-hour shift work

What you will do

• Lead the Process Engineering and Sustaining group to achieve module goals for process capability, quality, productivity, cost, and yield.
• Manage 12-hour shift operations and maintain the PAE team while setting expectations for compliance with MRB, TECN, 8D, and specification requirements.
• Use SPC, FMEA, risk management, and quality systems to detect issues, define corrective actions, and prevent quality, line-yield, and sort-yield excursions.
• Work with Equipment and Manufacturing Section Managers to address equipment constraints, improve OEE, optimize metrology sampling, and reduce wafer scrap, defects, rework, and material costs.
• Establish project tracking, process-window optimization, prototype and new-process qualification procedures, vendor performance metrics, and internal audits aligned with TS16949 requirements.
• Set team goals, coach engineers in troubleshooting and decision-making, support training and career development, and maintain EHS and security compliance.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and support compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.
