Technical Writer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Metzingen / Riederich, Germany

Develop technical documentation and digital content-delivery systems for robotics products.

What you will do

• Create operating, assembly, repair, and maintenance instructions in English.
• Build, maintain, and expand modular content in the XML-based Quanos Schema ST4 content management system.
• Design efficient information architectures and documentation structures, including variant management and version management.
• Establish and modernize content-delivery channels for websites, download and service portals, and PDF- and HTML-based documentation.
• Optimize XML-based publication processes in ST4 and connected ERP and PLM systems.
• Collaborate with service, sales, support, product management, marketing, and cross-site product-development teams.

Requirements

• Training as a Technical Writer, a comparable qualification, or a technical degree or technical college qualification.
• Professional experience in technical documentation or a comparable content or publishing environment.
• Very good English is required as the main documentation language.
• Experience with XML, modular documentation, content management systems, and preferably Quanos Schema ST4.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, including the Machinery Directive and VDI guidelines.
• Strong writing, communication, organizational, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Good German skills.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, Teams, SharePoint, PDF, HTML5, WebHelp, and iiRDS.
• Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or automation.
