VP, Data Platforms (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model with in-office attendance required Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement is not considered. Primarily PT working hours; relocation to the United States is offered.

Base salary: $240,000–$270,000 annually, plus potential equity and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Own the customer data foundation, canonical data models, Customer Data Platform, ingestion, certified marts, and BI/AI consumption.
• Shape AI enablement through feature stores, model serving, MLOps, self-service analytics, and responsible AI practices.
• Establish data governance, metadata, lineage, quality, privacy, observability, resiliency, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Lead Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Governance & Enablement, ML Platform, and Production Support teams.
• Partner with executives, Product, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, business stakeholders, vendors, and regulators on platform strategy and investment.

Requirements

• 13+ years of software engineering experience, including 10+ years leading and developing engineering teams.
• 5+ years leading enterprise data platforms, data products, or data engineering organizations in a public cloud environment.
• Experience scaling data platforms for analytics, machine learning, customer experiences, and operational decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, governance, observability, metadata management, AI/ML platforms, production operations, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with cloud-based data ecosystems using technologies such as Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, data catalogs, and observability tooling.
• Experience in highly regulated industries and strong executive communication skills; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of consumer financial products, personal financial management, or regulated marketing.
• Experience leading enterprise AI enablement and modern data platform transformation initiatives.
