IT Director, Data Services and AI Enablement

Location: Rohnert Park, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $220,000–$270,000 per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and management of the enterprise data infrastructure platform across ingestion, transformation, modeling, storage, integration, and data product delivery.
• Oversee data pipelines, reporting solutions, governance, data quality, monitoring, observability, and enterprise semantic layers.
• Drive AI readiness, self-service analytics, data discoverability, and the evaluation of AI-enabled tools and high-value AI use cases.
• Direct integrations across enterprise applications and develop automated workflows that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Partner with executives, business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to align data investments with enterprise architecture and digital transformation.
• Establish performance indicators and lead FinOps and cloud cost-management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; a relevant master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, enterprise data architecture, or systems integration.
• 4+ years of direct leadership experience translating enterprise business requirements into scalable data and analytics strategies.
• Hands-on leadership of large-scale data architecture migrations, with deep familiarity with AWS, Redshift, and Dagster.
• Experience managing enterprise BI platforms and leading large BI migrations, such as Domo to Power BI.
• Strong experience with integrations involving Salesforce, NetSuite, ADP, and Master Data Management, plus data governance and AI-enablement practices.

Nice to have

• Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences and with regulated or sensitive data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of semantic layers such as Cube Cloud.
