Platform Engineer, Data (AI)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable data infrastructure for growing data volume and complexity.
• Build and own end-to-end image and video pipelines for computer vision model training, including ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, visualization, standardization, and organization.
• Optimize training datasets through hard-example mining, class balancing, deduplication, embedding-based filtering, coreset selection, and complexity scoring.
• Develop synthetic data generation workflows for realistic computer vision training data.
• Coordinate real-world data collection and label creation and quality assurance with labelers.
• Implement data quality metrics, active-learning sampling, production feedback loops, dataset versioning, release management, lineage, and metadata cataloging.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or an equivalent field.
• Expert-level data infrastructure skills and a strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles.
• Strong understanding of data structures and systems design for orchestrating data workflows.
• Proficiency with AWS, Python, SQL, and Linux.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to communicate across engineering teams and maintain effective documentation.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with image and video data engineering for computer vision projects.
• Experience with PyTorch DeepCore or Unreal Engine.
