Senior Software Engineer, Data (Machine Learning)

What you will do

• Design and build robust pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain large, high-quality datasets for machine learning models and analytical products.
• Build scalable cloud-based data storage, processing, and serving infrastructure.
• Develop tooling and services for data labeling, review, and dataset curation at scale.
• Partner with ML engineers and researchers on feature pipelines and experiment infrastructure.
• Evaluate dataset quality, define data health and model-readiness metrics, and translate research questions into measurable data problems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud data services and storage technologies such as S3, Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, feature engineering, data distributions, and model evaluation.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and drive projects end-to-end.

Nice to have

• Experience building large datasets for machine learning training and evaluation.
• Proficiency with pandas and NumPy.
• AWS experience, including CDK or similar managed services.
• Experience with Airflow, Prefect, or other workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with modern CI/CD workflows and third-party data vendors.
