What you will do
- Lead data science initiatives across autonomy, safety, and product analytics.
- Analyze machine telemetry, operational data, and user workflows to improve system performance, safety, and usability.
- Define and track metrics for autonomous system behavior and product outcomes.
- Design experiments, analyses, and validation approaches with engineering and product teams.
- Partner with ML platform and data engineering teams to improve data accessibility, reliability, and analytical scalability.
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence roadmap and design decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or applied machine learning.
- Senior individual-contributor experience in a fast-growing startup, with strong technical judgment and prioritization.
- Experience with complex, high-volume, or real-time data, such as robotics, autonomy, geospatial systems, computer vision outputs, IoT, ad-tech, or large-scale consumer platforms.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering and infrastructure teams on data pipelines, data quality, and scalable analysis workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with modern tooling such as agentic AI.

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience helping establish data science practices and teams in a growing organization.
