What you will do
- Define and validate architecture principles, styles, policies, standards, and technical guidance.
- Coach and mentor engineering staff on software design principles and coding best practices.
- Develop technical strategy and architecture delivery roadmaps for the assigned portfolio.
- Make architectural decisions affecting the distributed payments platform and contribute to build-versus-buy decisions.
- Lead architecture and design activities throughout the delivery lifecycle, including code-quality and implementation reviews.
- Create platform-wide architectural mechanisms and core components, contribute to estimation and prioritization, and participate in coding activities supporting design outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience defining and applying software architecture principles, standards, and technical direction.
- Ability to lead architecture and design activities across the delivery lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and coding best practices.
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions for distributed payments platforms.
- Experience collaborating with architects and engineering teams on cross-portfolio and enterprise-wide initiatives.
