Senior Software Engineer - Local Payments (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid with an expectation to work onsite three days per week. Employees may work remotely from abroad for up to 30 additional days per year.

hirify.global provides a local payments platform that enables companies such as PayPal, Stripe, and Microsoft to connect with consumers worldwide.

What you will do

• Own products and services end to end, from requirements through production deployment.
• Design scalable products and services and contribute to architecture and technical direction.
• Build and operate cloud-native, event-driven systems using modern technologies.
• Work in small, autonomous agile teams using practices such as pair and mob programming.
• Take operational responsibility for owned services and participate in an on-call rotation when required.
• Share knowledge, mentor engineers, and help improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• Several experiences with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Java.
• Experience designing and building scalable products and services.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented, pragmatic, collaborative mindset.
• Working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin, Micronaut, Spring Boot, React, Kubernetes, Docker, or Kinesis.
