Senior Data Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid work with 3 days per week at the Paris office

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platform.
• Develop and optimize ELT pipelines using Fivetran, Airbyte, and custom connectors for PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, third-party APIs, and other sources.
• Architect Snowflake data models and transform raw data into business-ready tables serving as a single source of truth.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product stakeholders to deliver data solutions for strategic decisions.
• Develop customer-facing analytics and expose data-driven insights within the hirify.global product.
• Establish data quality and governance practices while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and managing complex cloud-based data platforms.
• Expert-level Python and SQL skills with experience writing clean, efficient, production-ready code.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Dagster, Fivetran, Airbyte, or equivalent technologies such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Airflow.
• Strong business sense, ownership, problem-solving ability, and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or cybersecurity company.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.

Hiring process

• 60-minute interview with the future manager covering experience, working style, data architecture, and data modeling.
• 60-minute technical interview with coding exercises, query optimization, debugging, and operational scenarios.
• 30-minute final interview with an executive manager covering strategic thinking, business acumen, and alignment with company values.
