Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: United States - Remote; the role requires working on-site in customer environments during kickoffs and key milestones.

Base pay: $180,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity, benefits, and unlimited PTO.

What you will do

• Work forward-deployed with health system data and IT teams, present technical decisions to leadership, and represent hirify.global during customer engagements.
• Own platform-specific architecture and implementation for Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric under the Principal Solutions Architect.
• Design ingestion from Epic Clarity and Caboodle, FHIR, ERP, scheduling, claims, and other source systems into a medallion lakehouse.
• Build and harden change-data-capture, transformation, orchestration, governance, access-control, and data-sharing pipelines.
• Sustain production environments, create reusable accelerators, support pre-sales discovery, and prepare governed, documented, reproducible handoffs.
• Cross-train on the other two platforms to support single- and multi-engagement delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles at Senior or Staff IC level.
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one platform: Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience shipping production data workloads in HIPAA, HITRUST, or comparable regulated environments.
• Strong Python, PySpark or equivalent distributed data processing, SQL, and modern transformation tooling skills.
• Fluency with Terraform and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions.
• Client-facing maturity and willingness to work on-site in customer environments and present to technical leadership.

Nice to have

• Healthcare EHR data experience, including FHIR, Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and on-premises-to-cloud CDC.
• Consulting, professional services, or regulated-industry data platform implementation experience.
• Experience with healthcare platform vendors, health systems, or platform-partner consultancies.
• Fintech experience as an adjacent regulated-industry background.
