Instrumentation And Controls Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work onsite there for the first two weeks of onboarding. Valid U.S. Citizenship is required due to NRC and DOE requirements.

Salary: $115,000–$190,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design instrumentation and control systems integrating sensors, instrumentation, actuators, and other control components.
• Lead requirements, design, testing, and commissioning as the responsible engineer for assigned systems.
• Develop control strategies and algorithms for industrial equipment and processes.
• Integrate engineering analyses and provide technical feedback to rapidly iterating design teams.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and equipment manufacturers, including technical oversight.
• Document engineering work and prepare clear technical reports.

Requirements

• Experience specifying, designing, and integrating temperature, pressure, radiation, neutron, and other process instrumentation.
• Experience with measurement techniques, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and logic diagrams.
• Experience developing system- and component-level requirements and automating industrial equipment and processes.
• Experience with analog and digital circuits, digital networks, and communication protocols.
• Experience managing and communicating with EPC contractors, vendors, and equipment manufacturers.
• Valid U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with thermal energy conversion systems and components.
• Experience with electricity transmission and power electronics.
• Python experience.
