What you will do
- Hire and manage a specialized team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on Lakebase.
- Support Lakebase growth by enabling technical adoption, consumption, and customer value across strategic enterprise accounts.
- Coach field engineering and sales teams to improve collaboration, execution, and return on investment in sales cycles.
- Build executive-level customer relationships and develop Databricks’ Lakebase presence in the APJ market.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to translate customer feedback, technical requirements, and competitive insights into field readiness and product evolution.
- Track account business needs, revenue potential, and trends across transactional databases, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, and AI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of first-line or second-line leadership experience managing teams of 7+ or 20+ individuals, respectively.
- Senior-level enterprise software pre-sales experience at a reputable software company, including transactional OLTP database technologies.
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders and driving large consumption within high-growth customers and strategic accounts generating $1M+ ARR.
- Proven ability to influence, develop, and empower teams while building cross-functional customer and partner ecosystems.
- Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, AI, cloud software models, operational data systems, and modern database architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
