Manager - Private Equity Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; Boston, MA; or Union, NJ

What you will do

• Manage key client relationships and ensure timely delivery of fund accounting and reporting deliverables.
• Oversee private equity fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, accruals, valuation adjustments, investor allocations, and management fee calculations.
• Review fund governing documents, financial statements, supporting schedules, disclosures, and workpaper files for accuracy.
• Build and maintain distribution waterfall models in accordance with fund terms.
• Coordinate year-end audits, tax reporting support, client timelines, and internal delivery teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop junior staff while contributing to hiring, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience focused on alternative investment funds, private equity, or fund of funds.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, particularly investment partnerships.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, multitasking, and client relationship skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
