Engineering Specialist IV (Sputtering Equipment)

Location: Onsite in Woodlands, Singapore. No travel required. The role may transition from a normal weekday shift to a 12-hour shift, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs.

What you will do

• Assemble, align, and integrate mechanical and electrical subsystems for sputtering equipment using schematics and build instructions.
• Install vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, control panels, and other equipment components.
• Perform functional and quality checks during and after installation.
• Troubleshoot and rework basic mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Support equipment installation, conversions, upgrades, and reliability improvements with engineering teams.
• Follow safety and cleanroom standards during assembly and support activities.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with torque wrenches, multimeters, and vacuum gauges.
• Experience with equipment assembly, troubleshooting, cleanroom environments, vacuum systems, or sputter PVD equipment is preferred or advantageous.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, willingness to learn, and readiness to work in a structured manufacturing environment.
