Manufacturing Technician (Etch)

hirify.global develops and services materials engineering equipment used to manufacture semiconductor chips and advanced displays.

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect them for defects, and troubleshoot or improve operational processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
• Complete job documentation, including progress, expense, labor, and data-entry records; perform programming, repairs, or software installations when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding cleanroom environment, including extended standing, tight spaces, ladders, lifting, noise, and required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certification, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established operating procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC training.
