Software Engineer in Data (Senior)

What you will do

• Translate product and technical requirements into high-quality software products.
• Collaborate with Indonesian and international teams, mentors, and team leads to deliver projects.
• Build software using Java, Python, or JavaScript/Node.
• Apply object-oriented design, data structures, version control, and Linux operations.
• Develop and support data platforms involving ETL ingestion, data lakes, data warehouses, and big data processing.
• Solve technically challenging problems while maintaining quality, timeliness, and ownership of assigned work.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience at the senior level.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript/Node.
• Ability to translate detailed designs and specifications into high-quality software with minimal rework.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and data structures.
• Familiarity with Git and basic Linux operations.
• Moderate English proficiency and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup, fintech, or banking environment.
• Experience with GCP or AWS.
• Knowledge of Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, DBT, or Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, MLaaS, and data platform technologies such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Hadoop, Flink, or Spark.
• Experience with BI visualization tools such as Redash, Looker, or Tableau.
